As expected, on Sunday, March 22, 2009, Herbst Gaming, Inc. and its affiliates filed voluntary chapter 11 bankruptcy petitions in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada in order to effectuate a prenegotiated restructuring. The lead bankruptcy case is Zante, Inc.
