As reported earlier, Nortel Networks Inc. and affiliates filed for bankruptcy today (more details on the bankruptcy filing can be found here). As is customary in large corporate bankruptcy filings, Nortel also filed motions and applications for relief from certain bankruptcy code sections and rules in order to allow the companies to continue to operate their businesses.
